Our adventures today included a 9km loop of the popular Cat Bells hike in the Lake District. Some steeper parts with some scrambling over the wet and slippery rocks and a descent that seemed to be a million steps. The weather changed every 5 minutes or so, we experienced rain, wind and beautiful sunlight throughout the hike. The winds at the top were really powerful, at one point they knocked my hat off completely and a younger hiker grabbed it for me as it bounced across the summit. The hike was fantastic and offered some amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
