A lovely day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Penshaw Monument and Herrington Country Park in Tyne and Wear, UK. Standing proudly on Penshaw Hill, the impressive monument offers wonderful views across the surrounding countryside and is a fantastic spot for a peaceful walk and a little local history. Afterwards, we headed to Herrington Country Park, where the tranquil lake was a delight, with waterfowl gliding across the water and enjoying their natural surroundings. Watching the ducks, geese and other water birds was a lovely way to slow down, enjoy nature and take in the peaceful atmosphere. Together, these two beautiful locations made for a relaxing and memorable visit, combining stunning scenery, history and wildlife in one lovely day out.
