Tim, Logan and I headed out for a quick paddle and fish at Morris Island conservation area along the Ottawa river. The parking lot was packed and super busy, we managed to get the fun mobile into a spot and unloaded our canoe, gear and inflated the kayak. Once on the water we were basically alone, found a small rocky island to hang out on. Caught a few small-mouth bass, enjoyed a beer and listened to Logan’s tales of his adventures while fighting forest fires this past summer in northern Ontario.
