Calabogie Peaks – Mardi Gras day – March 19, 2011

Spent a beautiful blue sky day at Calabogie Peaks this past Saturday. Weather was warm with a little wind chill that helped slowed down the snow melt that comes at this time of the year. It was the annual Mardi Gras party that featured a few different events including the puddle jump. The puddle jump is not to be missed as all ages hurl themselves down the hill and attempt to successfully jump or skip over 60+ feet of freezing cold water. Most don’t make it to the joys of the hundreds of onlookers.
