Winds were up along the Ottawa river today but they were blowing in another direction sending the local kiter’s to other locations around the city. I checked out Shirleys Bay but there was no one around so I headed to Constance Bay. Lucked out as a few kiters were arriving and getting ready to head out onto the river. I stuck around for about an hour and grabbed some shots.
After I lleft there was an incident where a kiter had broken a line and lost his kite ending up in the water for a long time before he was safely rescued by the Ottawa fire department. Thankfully he was wearing a pfd, made all the difference in the world.
