Our travels took us to the historic city of York, we have been here several times already but never for the annual Christmas Market. Considering we arrived on a Wednesday, there were surprising number of people visiting. I can only imagine how busy the weekend would be. So many great architectural things to see plus loads of great streets and alleys to explore. Rest stops included cold drinks in a Viking tent in the park, hot roast beef sandwiches and a great supper meal in a old pub. The kilometres racked up during our wanders through all the streets, the area know as the Shambles is my favourite.
